- Mark Rosenberg, M.D.
Dr. Mark Rosenberg was raised in Jackson, New Jersey and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. He attended New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ where he was elected to the AOA Honor Society. Upon graduation from NJMS in 1996, Dr. Rosenberg completed his specialty education at the Brown University School of Medicine’s Family Medicine residency program at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.
After completing his training, Dr. Rosenberg served on Active Duty in the United States Air Force from 1999-2003. While stationed at Tyndall A.F.B. in Panama City, FL, he served as Medical Director of the Family Medicine Clinic, which provided care to over 12,000 Active Duty service members and their families.
Upon his Honorable Discharge from the USAF, Dr. Rosenberg returned to Rhode Island to form Family Health and Sports Medicine (FHSM) with Dr. Albert Puerini (ret), Dr Jeffrey Wilson, and Dr. Amity Rubeor. Dr. Rosenberg has served as Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at Our Lady of Fatima and board member for Integra Community Care Network ACO.
Dr. Rosenberg is an active member of Rhode Island Primary Care Physicians Corporation (RIPCPC), a physician organization comprised of over 100 primary care physicians in the state dedicated to improving patient care. FHSM has been a pioneer in the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) concept which aims to proactively manage chronic medical issues in a balanced and focused manner. In 2010, he was selected as RIPCPC’s Physician of the Year.
Dr. Rosenberg has served as Team Physician for Providence College athletics since 2003, providing medical care to local Division I athletes from a multitude of sports. He also provides medical coverage for Big East and NCAA athletic events.
Dr. Rosenberg has been honored by his peers with his five-time selection as a “Top Doc” in Rhode Island Monthly’s annual poll.
In his free time, Dr. Rosenberg enjoys spending time with his family including his daughter and two sons.
